We assess your roof orientation, pitch and any shading before recommending a system size, and talk through whether battery storage makes sense for your household — it usually does if you're often out during the day and using more electricity in the evening, since a battery lets you use the solar power you generated earlier rather than exporting it for a lower rate.
As electricians first, our focus is on the part of a solar installation that's easiest to get wrong: the electrical connection, isolation, metering and any consumer unit changes needed. We work to manufacturers' specifications throughout, and to current wiring regulations.
If you're also considering an EV charger, we can plan the solar, battery and charger installation together, since a well-sized system can charge a car largely on generated power during the day or from stored battery power overnight.

It depends on your roof, your usage pattern and whether battery storage is included, which is exactly what we assess at the site visit.
Not necessarily. If you’re mostly out during the day, a battery lets you use more of the power your panels generate rather than exporting it at a lower rate. If you’re home and using electricity during daylight hours, panels alone may be enough.
South-facing roofs perform best, but east- and west-facing roofs still generate a worthwhile amount of power. North-facing and heavily shaded roofs are the main cases where solar doesn’t make financial sense — we’ll tell you honestly if that’s the case for your property.
